Admission
Admission to the graduate program in anthropology requires that the applicant meet the general requirements for admission to the School of Liberal Arts Graduate Programs. All applicants must take at their own expense the General Test of the Graduate Record Examination, but admission to the anthropology program does not require the Graduate Record Examination in a subject field.
Applicants wishing to earn a PhD in anthropology from Tulane should apply for admission to the doctoral program whether or not they already have an MA in anthropology. (To download a Graduate Program application form, you may click here . Applications to the masters program are appropriate only from those who do not seek a Tulane PhD. Applicants for the masters program in anthropology are not eligible for financial aid offered by the Tulane Graduate School .
